into tomorrow night late, late tomorrow night overnight. we will have more on that and a look at this storm for saturday. it's a wild one. >> shoes, clothing and cars, just some of the commodity that come through the port of baltimore. that could stop if an agreement can't be reached with the long shore men. don harrison explain what the labor dispute means for us. >> reporter: the port is one the main economic generators in the state of maryland. we have it over 14,000 jobs at this port. 1500 of those are ila labor jobs. those union long shore men could walk off the job sunday morn figure a new contract isn't settled. unions say it'll shut down the two largest terminals at the port where cars, farm equipment and cargo containers delivered. the port administration hopes a work stop age can be avoided. >> we are again hopeful that there will be an agreement before the deadline.

we are going forward with our plans to accommodate if that agreement isn't met. >> reporter: the port administration is working on a back up plan. part of it would open two terminals only open during the week to business on the weekends. >> we want to make sure we can get as much cargo moving as possible leading up to the work stop age. . >> reporter: as issue are the usual wages and health care but one major sticking point is container rayalties. they were put in place in the 60s. both sides are supposed to meet saturday to resolve the issues. >> work interruptions happen nobody wins. >> reporter: that therewas an eight day work stop age over similar issues. that brings a hard reality to the port here in baltimore. at the port of baltimore.

don harrison. abc 2news. >> this labor agreement affects ports all up and down the east coast and on the gulf. maryland live casino opened this morning and doesn't plan to close them ever, ever again. they are now open 24-7 because of new state legislation it also plans to add table games and will open a poker area after that. the changes are also adding more jobs to the cast no. >> we are adding 1200 more jobs with table games. it's about 150 of them are tied to the 24 hours, starting by tonight. then the rest of them will be added as we get closer and closer to the table games operation with about 800 of them tied to the table games operation. >> reporter: they believe chances will help the casino better compete with casinos in neighboring states. right now there is no timetable but casino said it's best estimate is early spring. in tonight's health alert we tend to have lots of leftovers during the hole days,

here at the top of the hour. winds from the west creating this wind chill factor in the 20s. take 10, 15 degrees off the air temperature with that kind of chill. the overall set up a clear one. the main storm system continuing to blow out to the north and east. tomorrow temperatures will bounce up close to 40 degrees. this is what becomes interesting. move into saturday with the new storm. watch the air temperatures into the day saturday. right around 32, 33, we will be right on that freezing temperature in central maryland. just north and west of baltimore we will be at or below freezing all day. that means even as the storm moves out and the next one approaches, air temperatures will support some winter weather. no question about that. just a matter of how much and the times. let's pin it down. blast are you tonight. the storm system from yesterday continuing to move over new england. in the meantime the next storm continuing to slide in out of the south and west. this is friday at eight.

the storm then pushing in to the midatlantic into the day on saturday. a burst of snow, several hours of snow on the leading edge of the system before it heads out over the atlantic and ramps up. two situations here, track one with a moderate snow rain mix, south and east. get a little more, maybe four inch totals but light snow, one to two inch totals f it does more of a souther track it would be all snow but lighter accumulations. we still have to see how this storm lines up and that rain snow line still somewhat of a question. we are getting a better idea. clear -- beautiful day. much what ha happens as the storm moves in. saturday morning, storm edging in. then saturday morning ten, peaking, looks like the rain snow line will be just south of calvert. lower eastern shore rain. maybe a mix and then from

annapolis north up into baltimore, northern maryland. then it tapers off by two saturday afternoon. we are just talking snow showers, there we go. the timing we know, saturday morning in to early saturday afternoon. the amounts still questionable but a few inches. 26 tonight. diminishing winds, tomorrow 40. partly cloudy, good friday. any snow on the ground will melt tomorrow before we bring in the chance for moreover night. snow, primarily snow. then the winter weather quickly ends, sunday just windy, 38 degrees and the set up into the new year right now. looks like a good one. again right now, all eyes remain on saturday. we know the timing for sure. 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. how much of it and where the rain snow line is that's the question mark. right now we think the chesapeake bay may be the dividing line unless you are east and north of the eastern shore. >> thank you.
